  3.     Upon rereading your post about the new software transfer program,
  4.     I caught an error that slipped by me the first time I read it.
  5.     You tell your distribution list that HP-UX maintenance must be purchased at
  6.     the time of the software transfer.  This is only true if the customer does
  7.     not yet have maintenance on the product he is trading to.
  8.  
  9.     That is, if a customer is purchasing the Fortran compiler, for example,
  10.     under the software transfer program, and he DOES NOT have HP-UX Fortran
  11.     maintenance, he must buy it at the same time.  But if he already had
  12.     maintenance for earlier purchases of Fortran for the 700, say a '-50'
  13.     contract, and the new licenses do not put him over his contractual
  14.     limit, he does not have to purchase additional maintenance.
